Elvivion home, Emmering
Opening: September 2014
The home is located in the middle of Emmering, right next to the community centre and the Protestant church. The town centre is within five minutes’ walking distance. Wheelchair-accessible routes around the Amper Hall, the community centre and the sports grounds behind the building are ideal for walking. Emmering is a sought-after place to live with very good infrastructure. The village of 7,000 inhabitants is bordered to the west by the county town of Fürstenfeldbruck and is approximately 25 km west of Munich. Directly in front of the home is a bus stop, from which you can reach Munich within an hour.
The facility provides space for 50 people in need of care and support. On the first, second and third floors, there are 34 one-bedroom and 16 two-bedroom apartments ranging from 27 m² to 94 m². If necessary, the apartments can be turned into two-bedroom apartments (e.g. for married couples).
All apartments are designed for senior citizens – they ensure accessibility for the disabled, feature a spacious wheelchair-friendly shower, toilet, space for a nursing bed and nursing aids, a kitchenette, separate bells and letter boxes. The décor and design can be chosen completely freely according to the residents’ own wishes and needs.
The facility has two day-care units which, with a surface area of 300-500 m², are far above the statutory minimum standards. The day-care units offer room for a total of 64 people in need of nursing and general care and are geared to the needs of the day-care guests. They offer space for cooking and eating meals, employment, leisure and group activities as well as areas for retreat and rest or cozy get-together in more familiar company.
