New residential care facility in Weidenberg
Planned start of construction: Summer 2019
SeniVita Social Estate AG has purchased the property “Weidig 1,3,5” and will establish a residential care home here in accordance with the “AltenPflege 5.0” concept.
The site is located in direct proximity to the “Neue Mitte” project, in which a supermarket with a bakery and butcher and the open spaces of the station area are being redesigned.
Planned completion: May / June 2020
On the 4,600 m² plot of land, we shall be deviating from our standard designs for senior-care real estate for the first time. As a certain surface area is necessary to be able to optimize the care processes, this project will see a four-story construction. The spacious day-care area and the planned outdoor areas can be optimally adapted to the plot. The development planning procedure has already been completed. Thus, the revised development plan is in effect. The building application documents are currently being compiled and will be submitted shortly.
The plan is to create a facility with 56 bright, senior-accessible, barrier-free homes. Each apartment is about 34m² - 68m² in size and includes a private kitchen and a wheelchair-accessible bathroom, as well as connections for telephone, television, Internet and an emergency call function. Two-room apartments for couples are also available.
Day care offers space for a total of 60 people in need of care and support and is geared towards the needs of the residents. This offers space for cooking and eating meals together, employment, leisure and group activities as well as areas for retreat and rest or cozy get-togethers in a more familiar atmosphere. Of course, the day care facility also has a spacious, accessible barrier-free care bath. Extensive and invitingly designed outdoor areas and green areas round off the cozy and familiar appearance of the facilities.
There is also a welfare centre in the middle of the single-story building. The outpatient service ensures professional round-the-clock care for the inhabitants when required, guaranteeing maximum safety even outside the day-care times.
